That is great. The flock of birds, and her pose. When I try to read this photo I can only come to the conclusion that she put a picture of that bird on the wall using her hammer.
I love the concept of this piece!! I have to disagree with you; I don't think the bird looks awful, it may just need to be incorporated into the piece a little better. Right now, the balance feels somewhat off; the flock of birds versus the single large bird on the other side of the figure.
Hope you don't mind my critique.

I would add a wire and a nail to the hanging frame (if that's what your intent is) and up or down the values in the "print" just slightly to give just a little more identity.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
